The Malta Showcase EU Presidency Edition 2016-2017 is produced through a collaboration between the Valletta 2018 Foundation, Arts Council Malta, Fondazzjoni Kreattività and the Parliamentary Secretariat for the EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds within the Ministry for European Affairs and Implementation of the Electoral Manifesto.
The Valletta 2018 Foundation is responsible for the implementation of Valletta’s title of European Capital of Culture 2018. Through creativity and artistic expression, the title will enable social, economic, cultural and environmental changes that will have a lasting legacy in Valletta and around Malta.
Arts Council Malta is Malta’s national agency for the strategic development of the cultural and creative sectors, and it is also the national arts funding body. It is supporting the Malta Showcase as part of its new internationalisation strategy.
The Parliamentary Secretariat for the EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds is responsible for the preparations of Malta’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2017, as well as the strengthening of the European Union funds absorption process.
ŻiguŻajg International Arts Festival for Children and Young People by Fondazzjoni Kreattività was purposely created to act as catalyst for all forms of expression, by providing space and extending experience to reach all people and involve them in interactive participation. It is responsible for the Spazju Kreattiv programme and international festivals such as VIVA – the Valletta International Visual Arts Festival, and the ŻiguŻajg International Arts Festival for Children & Young People.
