La Dame Perdue – Antonella Muscat
Sometimes my dreams are so real I cannot distinguish them from reality, and the feeling of déjà vu pervades.
The Maltese Dame often comes to mind, do I dream of her or do I know her?
She is a noble Knight who at night leaves the sword she has brandished during the day.
Her robes are wrapped in a thick cloak which hides her identity.
She carries a lamp and tends to the sick, leaving small gifts for the needy.
The poor line the streets and stench fills the air. Her lamp flickers in between the dark shadows…
Valletta looks sinister. Is this the city I know so well, or is this the new city which has just seen battle?
Everyone knows who she is but nobody utters her name…
In my fashion editorial she has woken up in the wrong place and time, she does not understand why and what she must do…
Is she a Knight of the Present Time yet, or will she ever be?
