THE PILL – THE RUBBERBODIES COLLECTIVE
The Pill explores the role of medicine and illness in the lives of people. Through contemporary theatre, movement, play with objects and popularised scientific presentation, the story unfolds an amalgam of autobiographical narratives, fantasies, and associations, all exploring a surreal desire for an instant cure to all possible illnesses.
Through this performance, the rubberbodies collective continue to reaffirm their focus on the creation of innovative artistic productions, alongside the development of a community of both local and international collaborators.
The Pill is a solo act by Ira Melkonyan, who researched, wrote and performs the piece.
